One academic year contract (with the possibility of renewal) | August 2023 to June 2024
Trinity College School is seeking dynamic recent graduates with an undergraduate degree who are excited to work with a diverse community of approximately 600 students from across Canada and more than 30 different countries. As one of Canada’s leading independent day and boarding schools, TCS offers world-class facilities, small class sizes, and a commitment to building a community based on belonging and the wellbeing and respect of each individual.
This position offers candidates the opportunity to expand their work experience, whether it be living alongside a multicultural group of students in a boarding school setting, coaching competitive sports, facilitating service opportunities and/or arts initiatives, or supporting students in the classroom environment. Residential assistants are an integral part of the life of the School, as they build caring, supportive relationships with students and colleagues and gain experience in a variety of settings that will benefit their professional development for the long term.
Located in Port Hope, Ontario, Trinity College School enjoys the best of both small-town life and access to urban amenities. Described as having the best-preserved downtown in the province, Port Hope boasts unique architecture, community cultural events and a history that predates the founding of Canada. At the same time, the town is located on the VIA Rail line, and is just a 35-minute drive to the Oshawa GO Station, offering quick access to the city of Toronto.
Terms of employment include health and dental benefits, pension (for OCT-certified teachers), and the possibility of renewal for a second academic year.
