Position Available: Sales & Marketing Coordinator

Reporting to: Director of Sales

Our hotel brings people together. We’re searching for a Sale & Marketing Coordinator capable of juggling bookings, building strong client relationships and pulling together truly unforgettable experiences.

The Sales & Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for

· Provide administrative support to Sales and Catering team

· Handle telephone inquiries, meet and greet walk-ins as well as clients with appointments.

· Responds quickly and effectively to sales inquiries for Group guest room blocks and self-confined meeting or catering requests.

· Work with wedding receptions, group blocks and social/holiday event clients. Attend local tradeshows to promote the property to potential guests

· Initiating the preparation of proposals and/or contracts to advise prospective customers of the hotel guest rooms, meeting space and/or banquet date, space and rate availability.

· Handling Banquets and Catering events and be the main sales contact person for in-house meetings and events.

· Assist to develop and attend high impact client events to showcase Sheraton Hamilton’s innovation, facilities & service (including (Sheraton Gatherings, VIP Site Inspections, Holiday Customer Events, etc.).

· Create and prepare advertising and Marketing print collateral materials including promotional flyers, invitations, and sales presentation materials.

· Develop or assist in developing marketing partnerships with vendors, companies, etc. and represent Sheraton Hamilton at identified industry and community functions.

· Distributes timely and accurate information to all Departments regarding contracted requirements and identified unique needs of groups, meetings and events taking place in our hotel to allow for the seamless delivery of exceptional service against pre-defined standards

· Attends weekly sales departmental meeting and other scheduled meetings to support business operations.

· Social Media, Online Correspondence, Web Advertising and Partnerships

· Assist the Director of Sales and Sales Managers with all Marketing Planning & Execution strategies. Assist and accountable for the development, execution and measurement of the marketing/branding strategies to include, but not limited to: Positioning, Marketing Budgets, Websites, Advertising, Collateral, and Content. All efforts should be focused on maximizing performance.

Our ideal candidate will possess;

· Excellent written skills sufficient to produce Sales and Marketing communications.

· Assist the Sales Managers upon request to conduct site inspections with potential customers, visiting guest rooms, meeting space and banquet facilities, as well as other hotel facilities.

· Works alongside operations to develop the strategic direction of curated on-property experiences and activations.

· Passion for providing excellent client experiences and client engagement.

· Confidence in proactively preventing problems and ability to handle service recovery following any complaints.

· Love of working in a fast-paced and motivated team with a desire to take the next step in your career.

· High proficiency in MS (Word, Power Point, Excel and Outlook), Social Sites and other Applications.

· Knowledge on print material preparation is an asset.

· Post-secondary degree / diploma in Tourism / Hotels an asset;
