Job description
The Sales Manager is responsible for the profitability of the department. He/she assumes his/her responsibilities by effectively managing staff and demonstrating knowledge of the potential market, established performance standards and a keen interest in profitability thresholds.
Main responsibilities :
- Ensure sales objectives are met;
- Support sales consultants throughout the sales process;
- Meet with customers and ensure service is second to none;
- Regular meetings with sales team on processes and results;
- Train and motivate staff reporting to him, and encourage teamwork in a customer-focused sales environment, throughout the sales, delivery and follow-up process;
- Track new and used vehicles sold;
- CRM follow-up of all customers (walk-in, telephone, etc.);
- Ensure smooth deliveries and customer survey results;
- Conduct formal performance appraisals of reporting staff at set intervals;
- Follow-up, as required, with all potential buyers by creating, implementing and closely monitoring a sales and customer research control system;
- With precise units of measurement, he is able to know at all times the performance of his team and of each sales consultant;
- Exchange vehicles between dealerships;
- Collaborate with the sales team on programs to increase new vehicle gross profits and after-sales marketing penetration (finance and insurance);
- Monitor and supervise lease renewal activities.
