Minimum Qualifications

• Previous experience in the use of parks/lawn maintenance equipment;
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and holidays;
• Good customer service skills to deal effectively with the general public;

JOB DESCRIPTION

Title: Seasonal Parks Attendant Class I

Division: Parks Development and Operations

Department: Community Services

Reports To: Parks Supervisor

Position #: SE 43

Position Summary

To assist with services necessary to maintain the quality of operations and appearance of the parks, sports fields, beaches and other municipal facilities.

Responsibilities

• Opening and closing of park gates and washrooms;
• Assists with parks maintenance, including grass mowing, picking up of litter, checking garbage and replacing bags;
• Cleaning and stocking washrooms;
• Monitoring park grounds/beach area and reporting any damage to the Manager;
• And other related duties as assigned.
• Participate in the Town’s Health and Safety Program and follows safety practices in work methods and procedures; observe and comply with all relevant Health & Safety regulations.
