The Senior Business Analyst plays a crucial role in facilitating communication between end users and technology teams, proactively seeking opportunities to enhance business processes. Responsibilities include mentoring junior team members, defining and validating user requirements, thinking innovatively about requirements and solutions, recognizing areas for process improvement, and ensuring operational objectives are met. The Senior Business Analyst also serves as a liaison between business stakeholders and implementation teams, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and leverages their knowledge in Information Systems. They should also be proficient in Agile methodologies and possess advanced technical skills.
In this role, you will:
- Take the lead in working with project stakeholders to define and document user requirements and ensure their validation throughout the project.
- Approach business requirements from a holistic perspective and think creatively to understand the broader context when defining requirements and proposing solutions.
- Identify and explore opportunities for enhancing business processes and practices.
- Conceptualize processes through a thorough understanding of business requirements.
- Contribute to the determination, support, and execution of operational objectives.
- Act as an advocate and bridge between business stakeholders and implementation teams during the development and delivery of solutions.
- Understand and effectively negotiate the needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders.
- Proactively identify and support initiatives aimed at continuous improvement.
- Apply and demonstrate up-to-date knowledge in Information Systems while supporting projects.
- Assist in the creation of test scenarios and scripts.
- Participate in the development of Request for Proposals (RFPs), vendor demonstrations, and contract award processes when considering third-party solutions.
You have:
- Attainment of a Bachelor's degree in either Computer Science or Business Administration, with a specialized focus on technology management.
- A minimum of 10 years' progressive experience in client-facing business analysis roles.
- An added advantage is holding an Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA), while having Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Project Management Institute - Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) certification is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the analysis and documentation of business requirements, with a proven ability to complete standard documentation effectively.
- A skillful knack for translating high-level requirements into meticulously detailed specifics and, subsequently, transforming these specifics into clear, attainable business objectives and deliverables.
- A proven background working within Agile environments.
- An advanced level of technical expertise and knowledge, including competencies in SQL, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and Azure Dev Ops.
- An impressive track record of providing leadership and support in the successful execution of projects.
- The ability to influence stakeholders and foster close collaboration to reach mutually agreeable solutions.
