Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Service Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to delivering outstanding service.
Responsibilities:
- Customer Interaction: Greet customers, listen to their concerns, and accurately document service requests.
- Service Advising: Provide detailed information about vehicle repairs, maintenance, and warranty coverage.
- Work Orders: Create and manage work orders, ensuring accurate and timely communication with technicians.
- Estimates: Prepare estimates for repairs, parts, and labor costs.
- Scheduling: Coordinate service appointments and manage the service queue efficiently.
- Parts Coordination: Collaborate with the parts department to order necessary components.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure completed work meets quality standards and customer expectations.
- Customer Follow-up: Communicate with customers regarding service updates and completion times.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of service transactions.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience as a service writer or advisor in an automotive dealership is preferred but not a requirement.
- Automotive Knowledge: Familiarity with Ford vehicles and their maintenance requirements is an asset.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer Service: Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency in using basic office applications is an asset but not a requirement.
