Job Summary:
Stubbe's is seeking a qualified Site Superintendent to join its land development team, focusing on the company's investment portfolio. This role will start with the management of an eight-storey, 130-unit apartment building in Tillsonburg, ON. You will be required to coordinate all site activities and subcontractors to ensure project completion within the set timelines and budget. Stubbe's emphasizes the importance of quality and safety, expecting the Site Superintendent to monitor subcontractors and enforce safe building practices. Responsibilities also include managing the site office and equipment. Based on project needs, the Site Superintendent may work independently or with the Land Development Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee construction activities.
- Participate in site meetings as necessary.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with contractors, suppliers, and colleagues.
- Ensure staff and tradespeople adhere to the construction timetable and safety policies.
- Keep the job site well-organized.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
- Expertise in overseeing finishing work as a Superintendent.
- Note: This is a new and evolving position; responsibilities will change and expand over time.
Qualifications:
A successful Site Superintendent should have:
- Ideally, 5+ years of mid to high-rise Supervisory experience.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural, structural, and mechanical plans.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build relationships with both internal and external partners.
- Willingness and ability to get on the tools as needed.
- Independence, with the capability to initiate tasks without extensive supervision.
- The capacity to manage multiple tasks under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability.
- Valid driver’s license.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $100,000.00-$140,000.00 per year
