Stationery Production Assistant

Weddingstar is looking for a Stationery Print Room Operator. Our operators are responsible for the print production of personalized stationery and on demand printed products using a range of digital printing machines including wide format, digital press, rotary die cutting, manual cutting and foiling equipment. This includes printed components for heat press products, assembled products, packaging and labelling requirements.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Minimum requirements:

• High school diploma

Asset qualifications:

• Familiarity with printer Fiery and RIP systems
• Visual Communications certificate or diploma

Experience:

• 1 year of basic print shop/sign shop experience including familiarity with wide format and digital press equipment as well as cutting and related finishing
• Experience in both Mac and PC environments
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and Indesign specifically) and other print software

Skills:

• Ability to work independently and under pressure of deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple jobs simultaneously
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Good typesetting and spelling skills
• Ability to lift print room stocks and supplies (occasional, up to medium level (44 lbs))
• Ability to sustain prolonged standing or sitting postures
• High school diploma
