Job Description

Britnell is seeking an enthusiastic and tech-savvy Summer Marketing Assistant to join our dynamic team for a 4 month period.. The successful candidate will find themselves working full time in our Oakville based office, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:30am and 5:00pm.

This role will help you exercise your marketing skills, and your insightful contribution will help develop, expand and maintain our marketing channels. You will play a crucial role in supporting the marketing manager to assist with implementation of marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and drive sales. with particular focus on process improvements leveraging technology.

As part of a small team, you will be exposed to a wider variety of tasks rather than a specialist role, giving you tangible opportunities to expand your skills.

What We Seek

We’re seeking a creative and inventive Summer Marketing Assistant with / or working towards, a university or college degree in a related field and a minimum of 1-year experience. The ideal candidate would enjoy working in a fast-growing company and take pride in executing tasks to a high standard.

We are searching for a candidate who thrives on working autonomously and is enthusiastic about the field of marketing, demonstrating a proactive approach to generating innovative ideas for enhancing marketing strategies.

The Summer Marketing Assistant may work in the following areas:

• Digital Marketing – interest in SEM, SEO, paid social, and website analytics
• Basic Data Analysis - having these skills will be an excellent asset and will be required on some projects
• Graphic Design – familiarity with Canva and a strong design aesthetic
• Social Media – familiar with creating written, photographic and video content and reporting on engagement in Facebook and Instagram
• Content Creation – comfortable writing for blog, email, website, and print advertising channels, digital photography or video experience would be a strong asset
• Research – ability to find and present information in a succinct manner
