We’re looking for an Underwriter Assistant, Community Services, to join our growing team!
What you’ll do here:
Responsible for assisting Intermediate and Senior Underwriters in rating, issuing, and determining terms and conditions of coverage.
Underwriting assessment and decisions will be made on endorsements and low-risk renewals with rating and processing of the policies.
Provide support to the Underwriting Department by preparing certificates of insurance, entry and base rating of policy renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and/or submitting information into underwriting systems and dealing with the daily mail, faxes, and email requests from brokers.
What you bring to the table:
Minimum 1-2 years related experience preferred.
Post-secondary education or equivalent experience.
CIP or working towards would be an asset.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Analytical and judgment skills required.
Attention to detail is essential.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products.
Highly organized to manage workflow efficiently.
