Veterinary Assistant

Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing medical care to animals
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies
- Restrain animals during examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Perform routine laboratory procedures such as blood draws, urine collection, and fecal analysis
- Assist with radiographs and other diagnostic imaging procedures
- Maintain accurate medical records for all patients
- Clean and sanitize equipment, instruments, and examination rooms
- Provide compassionate care and support to both animals and their owners

Experience:
- Previous experience working as a Veterinary Assistant is preferred
- Knowledge of basic veterinary medical terminology and procedures
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures such as blood work, urinalysis, and fecal analysis
- Ability to handle animals with care and compassion
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
