Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Veterinary Receptionist to join our team full time!

As a receptionist at Port Elgin Veterinary Clinic, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and their pets. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting clients, scheduling appointments, managing phone calls, and assisting with administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a veterinary clinic setting, possess excellent communication skills, and have a genuine passion for animals.

Responsibilities:

Client Interaction: Greet clients warmly, answer phone calls, and provide information about our clinic's services.

Appointment Scheduling: Efficiently schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring optimal use of the veterinary team's time.

Patient Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations.

Billing and Payments: Process payments, handle billing inquiries, and provide estimates for services.

Coordinate Communication: Act as a liaison between clients and the veterinary staff, relaying important information and updates.

Office Organization: Keep the reception area organized and tidy, ensuring a welcoming environment for clients and their pets.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 1-2 year's of working experience in a veterinary clinic.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Customer Service: Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and approachable demeanor.

Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Team Player: Collaborative attitude and ability to work seamlessly with the veterinary team.

Knowledge: Familiarity with veterinary terminology and procedures is preferred.

Technology Skills: Proficient in using veterinary management software and basic computer applications. Experience with AviMark is a bonus.

Salary: $17.00-$21.00 per hour
