Receptionist/veterinary assistant

We are looking for someone to join our family at Chippawa Animal Hospital in Niagara Falls Ontario. We are a busy team of dedicated professionals providing exceptional and compassionate care to cats and dogs while encouraging a supportive environment and upbeat atmosphere.

Our clinic has been serving people and their pets for over 30 years. We focus on maintaining animal health and providing treatment for illness with evidence-based medicine, surgery and dentistry services. We have in-clinic laboratory services including blood, urine, and fecal testing, cytology, full body digital radiography, and digital dental radiographs.

We have a friendly, enthusiastic, and professional manner in person and on the phone. We all contribute to the team approach within the clinic and within the veterinary/ client/ patient relationship. Our new team member will be a friendly client care representative answering phones, admitting clients and their pets, and working extensively in the practice management software "AVImark". They will be sharing responsibility for properly preparing prescriptions, placing and receiving inventory, assisting the Veterinarians and Registered Veterinary Technicians and performing pet nursing care. Some regular (shared) housekeeping duties and occasional projects.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $19.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
