Campbell River Family Services Society is a non-profit charitable organization that has been providing quality services to individuals, children and families living in the Campbell River area since 1977. With more than 30 employees, we offer a wide range of programs and services, including support, counseling, education, prevention and crisis intervention. We are governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and have been accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (“CARF”) since November 2004.

The Victim Service Worker provides support services, practical assistance, information, and referrals to victims of crime as well as participating in public education and maintaining up to date information on referrals and developing community relations.
Eligibility for employee benefits upon successful completion of probationary period. Eligibility for pension is dependent upon two (2) years of continuous employment or previous enrolment in MPP.
HOURS – 20 hours per week
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Diploma in a related human/social service field
- Two (2) years recent related experience
- Or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training
RATE OF PAY
Current Wage as per Collective Agreement
Grid Level 11 – $26.74 - 30.69 per hour*
*All JJEP/Paraprofessional positions are subject to wage grid levels. Positions begin at Step 1 and are increased to Step 2 through 4 based on number of hours worked.
