Accounting Operations Manager
Reporting to the Director of Accounting Operations, you will be responsible for Supporting and overseeing Accounting Operations related to receipts, disbursements, reconciliations, and GIC administration. You will mentor, lead, inspire and develop a high-performing team.
Here is what a typical day looks like
- Build, drive, and sustain an engaged, high-performing team through employee development, performance management, and team effectiveness to drive accountability and favorable outcomes
- Lead the change management process and establish support from key stakeholders
- Oversee the agency and direct bill reconciliation process
- Review, approve, and post monthly bank and general ledger reconciliations
- Participate in Accounting Operations aspects of integration of new acquisitions, projects, and initiatives
- Identifying, troubleshooting and resolving issues with branch offices, Central Processing Unit, insurance carriers and banks and escalating complex issues
- Participating in Broker Management System month end close rotation
- Serving as the designated business liaison with Insurance Companies and banks for issue resolution
- Post-secondary degree in business/accounting program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years' related experience in Accounting
- 5 years Leadership experience
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
