About the position:
As an Accounts Payables Clerk, you will be part of a team that delivers exceptional customer service to all our clients; large or small and be a champion for our 30-30 Service Standard.
Our team achieves this by diligently processing every invoice for C&D Logistics when a shipment delivers. You will ensure that all the details for each vendor statement is correct, proactively identify possible issues and arrange weekly pay runs.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Hours of Work: Mon-Friday 6:00 am – 5:00 pm (flexible)
Manage carrier/vendor relationships to ensure timely payments are issued
Perform vendor statement reconciliation for outstanding invoices.
Assist with vendor account clearing.
Liaise with other departments such as sales and customer service to resolve outstanding issues.
Issue 3pl Insurance policies to active shipments.
Ensure correct documentation is accounted for and organized.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
Requirements for the role:
Attention to detail, accurate data entry and proofing skills.
Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Accounts Payable experience.
Some Accounting education.
Understanding carrier tariffs with the ability to assist with billing issues.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office based applications and knowledge of computerized accounting systems required.
