Accounts Payable Clerk

• Pay rate: $24.30 / hour
• Location: Sparwood, BC (Onsite)
• Shifts: Monday to Friday | 8 hours/day

• Job type: Full-time | 3-month contract with the possibly of extension
• Start date: ASAP (Must be available to start immediately)

• Enter financial data accurately and efficiently into the company's accounting system.
• Prepare and submit billing adjustments as needed, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct collection calls and emails to follow up on outstanding invoices and ensure timely payment from customers.
• Distribute copies of invoices and statements to customers as requested, maintaining proper documentation.
• Set up monthly cash collection processes to streamline payment procedures and improve cash flow management.
• Process payments and paperwork accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to company policies and procedures.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Post-graduate diploma in Business or Accounting is an asset
• Minimum 1-2 years of accounting experience or educational background preferred
• Proficient with MS Office suite
• Customer service experience and strong communication skills
• Must be local to Sparwood and legally eligible to work full-time in Canada
• Must be available to start immediately
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision
• Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
