OBJECTIVES
We are currently looking for an independent and highly organized self-starter to join the Mustang Survival finance team as an Accounts Payable Clerk. Reporting to the Controller, the successful candidate will cover the following duties and responsibilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor Accounts Payable inbox, appropriately filing correspondence
- Accurately code and enter Accounts Payable invoices
- Obtain appropriate approvals for invoices in line with established approval matrix
- Print cheques, obtain signatures, and send to vendors
- Preparation of supplier account reconciliations
- Assist in reconciliations of expense reports and corporate card reconciliations
- Assist in reconciling payable related accounts
- Maintain accounting controls by following policies and procedures
- Prepare monthly internal financial reports as requested
- Other duties as may be assigned
- Diploma or Degree in accounting or business field with experience in an office setting preferred
- General knowledge of Accounts Payable, general accounting
- Experience with Netsuite an asset
- Quick learner with a strong work ethic
- Flexible and adaptable to a dynamic work environment
- Team orientated with open communication style and demonstrated ability to show initiative
- Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and successfully manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Effective written and communication skills
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
