Our Yellowknife office is currently seeking a full-time experienced Administrative Assistant to join our team. Our administrative team plays a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the firm. This role reports to the Director of Operations.
The Role
- General office support and word processing (scanning and filing).
- Assist staff by tracking and coordinating client records and acting as a liaison to ensure smooth execution of client service;
- Participate in the client onboarding experience as needed;
- Proactively manage client inquiries;
- Log in client year end records and personal taxes;
- Daily maintenance of IT tools such as; bank confirmations, right signature and the client portal.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and pleasant work environment;
- Collating tax returns, financial statements, and other miscellaneous documents;
- Prepare correspondence and assist with other special projects as needed;
What You Will Bring
- 1-2 years Office or Business Administration certificate program
- 1-2 years work experience in customer service and/or in an office environment
- Excellent ability to organize self and others.
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Professional and courteous manner in dealing with internal and external clients.
- Positive and friendly attitude and demeanor.
- Ability to work well in a team setting.
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
- A team player who encourages the success of all.
- Self-starter, able to work independently
- Work experience in a public practice or other professional services environment would be considered an asset.
