Assistant Controller

Our world class established client is looking for their next dynamic Assistant Controller for their York Region location (On-Site) to help oversee the consolidation of monthly accounting close process and produce the financial results for the global business unit while supporting corporate financial reporting requirements along with managing key performance indicators and support decision making to reduce costs and improve profitability for their Canadian finance operation

• Analyze the Profit and Loss statement and Balance Sheet for the manufacturing site while

facilitating the factory management team in meeting their financial goals

• Ensure the integrity of the Company’s global inventory and analyze the related cost of goods sold

in accordance with USGAAP

• Forecasting and budgeting of Profit and Loss statement (including direct material, labor and

overhead costs) and BS

• Analyze and manage the production costs of the business unit

Requirements / Qualifications:

• A business degree administration, economics, finance or related, along with a focus on

controlling, ideally minimum of 2 years relevant work experience, CPA (Must)

• Extensive global business experience with a focus on audit and statutory regulatory

compliance is required - Experience with SOX(Asset/Preferred)

• Using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems along with Proficiency in MS Excel
