Assistant Controller

This group of real estate and construction companies is in search of an energetic and experienced accountant.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

• Managing accounts payable, verify invoices and process payments
• General accounts receivable duties including entering revenue and following up with bad debts
• Processing payroll
• Preparing government remittance calculations and filings
• Monitor banking including preparing deposits and cheques
• Maintaining general ledgers and an organized workspace
• Working closely with the controller to ensure the financial records are current

• Proficient with excel
• Previous experience in the construction or real estate industry in not required, but considered an asset

Qualifications:

• Secondary School (Required)
• Post Secondary School (Required)
• Sage 50: 2 years (Preferred)
• Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable: 4-5 years (Preferred)
• CPA or equivalent(Asset)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $28.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

• Overtime pay
