Join the Nuclear Infrastructure Sector as a Business Analyst in Tiverton, Ontario
Looking for an exciting opportunity to work with one of Canada's leading nuclear infrastructure companies? Our client is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Business Analyst to join their team on 12-month contract basis. As part of this role, you will be responsible for evaluating complex data sets, identifying trends and patterns, conducting market research analysis and recommending strategies that drive growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in business administration or related field
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Business Analyst
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to evaluate complex data sets
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
Responsibilities:
As part of your day-to-day responsibilities within this position you would be expected to:
1. Conduct detailed quantitative analyses using statistical methodologies.
2. Develop financial models including forecasting tools used by senior management for strategic decision making purposes.
3. Collaborate cross-functionally across teams (e.g., finance/accounting) throughout all phases of project execution from conceptualization through implementation.
4. Provide recommendations based on industry best practices coupled with company specific goals/objectives.
Skills Required:
Quantitative Analysis - The successful candidate must have hands-on expertise performing advanced analytics; such as regression/correlation analyses & time-series modeling techniques which identify insights into datasets often containing multiple variables.
Financial Modeling - In order to develop accurate projections aligned directly against key performance indicators defined early during each fiscal year budget process it is imperative candidates demonstrate proficiency developing high-quality forecasts able bench marked vs actual driving variance resolution efforts downstream toward root cause identification/remediation actions if required throughout any given quarter/year-end close cycle.
