an ambitious Claims Manager to join our growing team!
The Claims Manager is primarily responsible for the management and oversight of the Claims Department and is to act in accordance with Company policies and procedures.Additionally, this dynamic role offers the exciting opportunity to spearhead innovative strategies for streamlining claims processing, leading a team towards unparalleled efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Position Requirements
- Postsecondary education or equivalent training and work experience
- Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation an asset
- Valid driver’s license and own transportation
- Minimum ten years of related experience
- Minimum three years of managerial experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience with insurance software
- Understanding of the mutual insurance system and its philosophy
- Experience in strategic planning and business development an asset
- Understanding of business functions such as human resources, finance, marketing, underwriting, etc.
- Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
- Detailed knowledge of reinsurance procedures
- Experience with the Health Claims for Auto Insurance (HCAI) system
- General knowledge of Ontario Statutory Accident Benefits regulations and procedures
- General knowledge of bodily injury claims
- General knowledge of building construction materials and techniques
- Detailed knowledge of litigation regulation and procedures
- Detailed knowledge of claims adjustment practices
- General knowledge of property damage scoping and estimating
