Position Summary

Reporting to the Lead, Intranet and Internal Digital Communications, the Communications Specialist, Internal Digital Communications is responsible for providing and enhancing day-to-day use of employee intranet services and Internal Digital Communications platforms for Northern Health (NH). Responsibilities include:
•assisting with day-to-day intranet needs of NH staff, including identifying areas for creative improvements;
•working collaboratively with the Information Management Information Technology (IMIT) team to develop and implement innovative features and enhancements to digital tools for staff;
•providing intranet-based communications support to significant projects;
•assisting with other NH websites as required;
•assisting in emergency and confidential communications activities, as required;
•providing communications support as required, with a particular focus on enhancing the Digital Communications for NH's Health Human Resource Strategy, including staff and physician recruitment needs.
Starting salary will be approximately from $72,445 to $90,556 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.

Qualfications
•Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations or Marketing;
•Minimum five (5) years of professional experience in the support, development and administration of websites in a corporate environment;
•Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Skills and Abilities:
•Demonstrated commitment to outstanding web design, usability, page layout and graphical user interface.
•Strong combination of both people skills and innovative technical abilities
•Awareness of current graphic, layout, and design trends, and best practices for web and digital content.
•Demonstrated creative approach to problem solving and website design/architecture.
•Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
•Excellent attention to detail.
•Excellent understanding and demonstrated practical application of SharePoint and Microsoft 365
•Excellent understanding of the components of common web technology (HTML, CSS,).
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
•Ability to organize and prioritize work and balance multiple activities concurrently.
•Ability to work effectively, both independently, and as part of a team.
•Highly skilled with Microsoft Office applications including Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, Lists, and PowerPoint.
•Ability and willingness to travel.
