Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Cook/Kitchen Helper to join our team in the food industry. As a Cook/Kitchen Helper, you will assist in meal preparation and provide support to our kitchen staff. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about the food service industry and wants to gain experience in a professional kitchen environment.
Duties:
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods such as grilling, baking, and frying
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
- Order supplies and equipment
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
- Clean kitchen and work areas
- Organize and manage buffets and banquets
- Manage kitchen operations
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred but not required
- Basic knowledge of food handling and safety procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
