Kitchen Cook (Bulk Production)

Your role as a Kitchen Cook will include involvement and oversight of the bulk food preparation and large scale production process in the kitchen, and the following of recipes for multiple products for dine-in and take out.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Support the Kitchen Team Lead with all kitchen functions
• Prepare, season and cook food according to standardized recipe, meeting dietary requirements where required
• Follow recipes and presentation specifications
• Keep all coolers and shelves clean, well-stocked and properly rotated.
• Rotate prep and cooking stations based on scheduling needs
• Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
• Maintain inventory and record of food, supplies and equipment
• Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
• Bulk Production on large kettle cookers

Qualifications:

• Must be self-motivated and solution-oriented
• Good communicator and motivator; able to work well with others and convey enthusiasm.
• Is available for flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the department
• An ability to lift or carry items up to 40 pounds
• A passion for food
• Cooking experience required
• Post Secondary Culinary training considered an asset
• WHIMS certification requirement (Sunterra will provide online training)
• Food Safety certification requirement (Sunterra will provide online training)
