We are seeking a skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team in the food industry. As a Line Cook/Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our food offerings. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Ensure that food is stored properly and at the correct temperature
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient service
- Follow proper plating techniques for attractive presentation
- Monitor food inventory and communicate any shortages or discrepancies
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or similar food service establishment consider to be an asset
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Strong understanding of various cooking techniques and methods
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members
