Field & Forge Brewing Co., a new Brewery and Restaurant in Innisfail, AB has an exciting opportunity for a Sous Chef to be a part of an enthusiastic team.
Under the guidance of the Executive Chef, the Sous Chef will play a very important role in the success of the Restaurant by focusing on guest satisfaction and maintaining excellence in operations execution. The successful candidate for this role will ensure the highest level of service is provided to both guests and to Field & Forge Brewing Co.’s team member.

Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibility is to run effective and efficient shifts.
- Ensure all crew members are strongly supported, coached and inspired.
- Have daily shift meeting including service staff, before service.
- Ensure all specs are being followed and product is being produced with an emphasis on quality and consistency.
- Ability to delegate and ensure teamwork is being encouraged.
- Ensure kitchen is 100% ready for service.
- Ensure service time is executed without incident with a focus on speed and quality.
- Ensure all special diet requests are managed to the best of our abilities.
- Adhere to all Health and Safety criteria.
- Ensure kitchen and culinary team complete all their daily tasks.
- Manage daily production.
- Ensure all fridges and freezers are clean and product stored correctly.
- Assist Chef in labor and food cost controls.
- Complete daily log or communication pass on for Chef.
- Collaborate with crew on specials and menu ideas. Encourage growth.
- Work with Chef to bring our company into the light as an industry leader.
Qualifications:
- Experience in the in the industry is an asset.
- Proficient working knowledge of kitchen equipment.
- Organized, clean and efficient working habits.
- Proficient and mindful of safe work practices.
- Follow HAACP and all AHS Principles.
- Willingness to learn and teach.
- Creative and open mind set approach to the cooking arts.
- Effective communication skills and value the importance of sharing information.
- Ability to work under hot or cold conditions, long standing periods and regular lifting.
Hours of Work:
The hours of work for this position will vary depending on organizational requirements, but will include evenings, weekends and holidays.
