Customer Service Assistant / Garden Center Assistants

We are seeking part-time, full-time, seasonal, and permanent Customer Service, Garden Center and feed shed associates who enjoy assisting customers. An energetic and positive attitude, proven communication skills, a team player and leadership qualities, a quick learner are a must. A passion or general knowledge of horses or farm animals / gardening, horticulture would be a definite asset. The ideal candidate for this position is someone who has a friendly, warm and welcoming personality and who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. This position requires an individual who can multitask effectively under pressure, quickly resolve conflicts, manage customer expectations and describe products with accuracy. Must be available to work weekend shifts when scheduled. Please no phone calls.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times.
• Communicating with customers through various channels
• Receive incoming orders
• Merchandise products
• Keyholder open/close store
• Operate till/cash (POS system)
• Daily inventory control systems
• Handle customer issues/complaints.
• Handle incoming calls
• General operations of a busy retail environment (cleaning, etc)
• Answer questions about company products and services
• Assist with various departments throughout the store
• Communicating and coordinating with colleagues as necessary
• Ensure customer satisfaction and provide professional customer support

Customer Service Representative Requirements:

• High school diploma, general education degree, or equivalent.
• Ability to stay calm when customers are stressed or upset.
• Comfortable using computers.
• Experience working in a Customer Service position

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Seasonal

Salary: $15.00-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
