Your Responsibilities
Below we’ve listed your formal responsibilities, but other responsibilities may arise.
● Act as the first point of contact to patients, particularly through welcoming and hosting in-person, over the telephone, and through email, with a view to deliver outstanding customer/patient service.
● Coordinate appointments, fill vacancies in the schedule and coordinate schedules for practitioners.
● Manage patient inquiries, complete referrals, liaise with other offices in a clear and concise manner.
● Communicate recommended treatment plans (for fillings, implants, etc), insurance
coverage and resulting out-of-pocket expenses and/or payment plan.
● Bill patients and their insurance companies and maintain accurate patient accounts.
● Follow up on outstanding accounts receivable from insurance companies and patients.
● Maintain patient files, charts, and reports, and enter data into the Electronic Records
system.
Experience & Skills Required
● A minimum of one year of administration experience.
● Evening and weekend availability with a minimum of one evening/morning a week and one to two Saturdays or Sundays a month.
● Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
● Experience with dental software is an asset.
● IPAC certified is an asset but not required.
● WHIMS certified is an asset but not required.
