Environmental Project Coordinator

Aski Reclamation LP an indigenous-owned environmental consulting company which integrates First Nations’ knowledge with science, to deliver solutions to our clients and pave the way for industry best practices in Restoration, Restoration, and Environmental Services.

The EnvironmentalProject Coordinator role is focused on providing support to projects within the Environment Division of Aski. Performing a combination of project coordination and technical work, you will support a multitude of project functions, including administration, coordination, and control of tasks, resources, and personnel. Further, you will gain direct experience in project operations by working in the technical delivery of projects, including reporting and field data collection, as required. This highly versatile role offers a wide variety of tasks and provides opportunity to learn various natural resource sectors and industry practices, as well as receive professional development support and training as a project manager. The ideal fit for this role is a motivated individual with strong prioritization, organization, and self-directed work skills.

Level: Junior to Intermediate

Work Environment

The ET works in various settings, including remote natural locations, industrial sites, mines, offices, labs, and a range of assessment locations. A typical environmental technician day starts by preparing field activities and traveling to field locations to assess and collect a wide range of data. During this work, the ET may be required to hike, drive all-terrain vehicles (ATVs, UTVs, snowmobiles), collect environmental data from aquatic and terrestrial settings, and perform data collection duties requiring a high level of physical fitness and the capacity to operate safely in remote environments.

Major Duties

Duties vary depending on project assignment, but the following list includes typical job duties that an ET may perform:

In the field

· Coordinate Environmental Projects under the Project Manager and Division Manager; being involved from inception to completion, including planning, scheduling, and monitoring project activities.

· Provide support with project management functions such as cost tracking, scheduling, and reporting.

· Schedule resources and coordinate with the team of resource allocation.

· Actively assist project manager in daily or weekly tracking of projects.

· Ensure that project requirements are met in a timely and effective manner.

· Communicate project information over to project staff.

· Document and document control of projects.

· Provide expertise, assist in estimates, and book resources during procurement scoping.

· Assist project manager in the preparation and delivery of bids.

· Assist in administrative functions of projects.

· Manage and build relationships with multiple team members and client representatives.

· Coordination and communication with clients on change in schedule or resources.

· Assist in the technical delivery of projects within the environment division, with a focus on aquatics and site assessments.

· Occasionally conduct field assessments, surveys, and data collection to evaluate environmental conditions and to identify potential issues.

· Assist health and safety in the project safety plan developments and documents.

· Implement company and client safety programs and adhere to safety and compliance standards.

· Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Skills

A technical diploma in environmental science and/or a combination of relevant work experience and qualifications; preference given to those with an undergraduate degree in environmental sciences or relevant area of expertise.

Skills or experience to help you succeed in this role include:

· Experience in environmental consulting

· 3+ years experience of direct project coordination with a focus on environmental

· Proficient in Microsoft 365 with strong computer and literacy skills

· Excellent coordination, organizational, and communication skills

· Experience with data collection and entry

· Strong interpersonal skills, ability to engage and support various teams

· Ability to support executive functions and senior management

· Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

· Ability to develop and deliver professional quality work back to project managers and HSE manager

· Valid Class 5 Drivers License

Salary: $75,000.00-$92,400.00 per year
