The Opportunity
Cropac is looking for an Equipment Sales Representative who will join our team at the Abbotsford, BC location.This role will be responsible for selling Cropac Equipment Inc. products and services through the achievement of opportunity-based sales quotas. This position will reach business targets through the use of excellent sales and communication skills. Managing and developing an existing client base, as well as prospecting for new business opportunities within an assigned territory. Integrity, vision, professionalism, and passion are key components of this position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
As the Equipment Sales Representative your key responsibilities will include:
- Maintain and foster relationships with current customers ensuring the customer’s needs are being met
- Emphasize product features and benefits, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales order forms and reports
- Build and foster a network of referrals to create new opportunities for revenue growth
- Generate and develop new customer accounts to increase revenue
- Maintain consistent professionalism, tactfulness, diplomacy, and always represent the company in a positive manner
- Actively manage call schedule to adequately cover assigned territory
- Maintain accurate records; including sales call reports, expense reimbursement forms, billing invoices, and other documentation
- Represent company and perform professional presentations or demonstrations of company products at professional trade shows or exhibitions
- Build and maintain ongoing awareness of new products, competitor activities, and other market research
- Understand and adhere to the company’s health and safety policies, programs, and procedures by communicating and promoting health and safety awareness
- Maintain a high standard of professional knowledge, ethics and practices when dealing with customers and suppliers
- Conduct oneself in a professional manner that reflects integrity and respect towards customers and suppliers
- Maintain timeliness in communication with customers and suppliers
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Senior Management.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:
- 5+ years of experience as a Technical Sales Representative
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a related field would be considered a strong asset
- Strong knowledge of the crane industry
- Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals while maintaining established sales quotas
- Success in qualifying opportunities involving multiple key decision makers
- Strong knowledge of retail/wholesale sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques
- Organization and attention to detail are necessary for this role
- Self-motivated and comfortable working remotely
- Strong customer focus and relationship building
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to conduct presentations
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs; Excel and Word
- Valid driver’s license and clean drivers abstract
