THE POSITION:
Keyera is currently seeking a Facility Operator for our Gold Creek Compressor Station, near Grande Prairie, Alberta. These roles will support the day-to-day operations of the compressor station, troubleshooting, optimization and tuning of the site’s processes.
Working a 7 on 7 off shift rotation, this position is ideal for someone local to Grande Prairie or the surrounding area.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for assisting with daily operating assignments on site equipment and processes.
- Operate the facility in a safe, economical and efficient manner using quality principals.
- Work with team on preventative maintenance and ensure equipment is running efficiently and safely.
- Monitor facility readings, product sampling and quality control.
- Assist with contractor, driver orientation and supervision for on-site operations.
- Participate in review, modification or development of facility procedures.
- Support engineering and maintenance teams with various projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a similar role within compressor station operations. Previous commissioning experience is considered a strong asset.
- Power Engineering or Fired Process Heater Operator Certification would be an asset.
- Valid H2S Alive, WHMIS, TDG and First Aid Certificates would be an asset.
- Strong commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment.
- Team player with the ability to listen, learn and share knowledge.
- Self-starter with ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision.
- Proven communication, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Organized, reliable individual with attention to detail.
- This role requires the candidate to wear respiratory protective equipment. As per Alberta OHS 250(2), the candidate must ensure an adequate seal where the face piece of the equipment seals to the skin of the face.
- A valid driver’s license and ability to provide 5-year standard driver abstract (clean driver’s abstract).
