Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers at the front end
- Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately
- Scan and bag items for customers, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Answer customer inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns
- Upsell products and promote special offers to customers
- Assist with food preparation and kitchen duties as needed
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the quality and freshness of products
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations
Requirements:
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transactions
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to provide friendly and helpful assistance
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
- Ability to operate a point-of-sale (POS) system effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
