We are a well-established Adventure Tourism business looking for someone to join our operations team. The Guest Service Supervisor will report directly to the owners and work with both operations and guest service to ensure the best possible client experience.
As a Year round operator we are looking for a full time, year round adventure enthusiast looking to take their previous experience in operations or administrative role and put it to use with an ever expanding and creative product base. We are looking for a team player with the same vision that we have while contributing through their own previous adventure tourism experience. Previous experience managing another adventure tourism operation an asset; rafting, ziptrek, mountain biking or ATV/Snowmobile.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Must be highly organized with strong administrative and communication skills
- Experience in a guest service or management role; responsible for overseeing staff, payroll, scheduling, daily tours, transportation and guest reservations.
- Strong computer skills working with microsoft, online booking system, online scheduling system as well as other machine inventory and online grooming programs.
- Coordinating all aspects of daily tours & reservations with our operations team
- Providing communications between the booking office to the operations team
- Ensure a high level of service standard is met by all staff
- Guest service -- to liaise with clients and provide feedback to help marketing efforts
- Understand and role model company policy and standards in every aspect of functions and tasks
- Assist the management team in the development of new products and methods
- Report directly to the owners through online reporting system and management meetings
- Human resource management a definite asset
Requirements:
- Previous experience in adventure tourism related industry; rafting, zipline, or snowmobile ideal
- Background in Adventure tourism a definite asset but not required
- Strong communication skills are a must
- Thorough, on the spot decision making in a fast-paced environment is a necessary skill.
- Computer literate, online booking systems, HR communication and timesheet systems, microsoft
Job Type: Full-time year round or open to winter contract only
Experience:
Adventure tourism recreation management degree or
- Minimum 2 years work experience in Guest Service/Operations in adventure tourism related field or in a similar management role
Ideal candidate will be looking for full time long term employment. We are open to both full time year round as well as seasonal contract work. Hourly, Salary, bonuses based on experience and will discuss at interview.
