Form of workAdecco is currently seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Specialist to join their team. This full-time position offers a salary range of $50,000 - $70,000 per annum, depending on experience. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe and compliant work environment, supporting ongoing training, and maintaining quality certifications.

- Support ongoing training through weekly safety meetings.
- Assist in incident report reviews and investigations.
- Conduct daily site walkabouts, providing feedback via database documentation and direct communication.
- Complete and update Risk Assessments on existing processes.
- Conduct equipment inspections on safety-related devices.
- Write and audit lockout tagout procedures for equipment.
- Support new hire onboarding.
- Assist in maintaining required quality certifications, including ISO9001 and ISO14001.
- Assist in planning or auditing on-site contractor construction projects.
- Evaluate work areas for ergonomic risk.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in an EHS specialist role or equivalent certification (CSHO, CSP, or ASP).
- High School Diploma required.
- Associate degree or working towards a bachelor's degree required.
- Knowledge of RCRA and understanding of regulatory bodies (CCOHS, Transport Canada, OHSA).
- Familiarity with EPA regulations.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong computer, project management, and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
- Comfortable leading group presentations.
- Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
