House Manager/Nanny Needed Near Bloor/Dufferin

Job Summary

An experienced and organized house manager/nanny is needed for a busy family near Dufferin Grove park. We are looking for someone to provide house manager duties while the 18 month old Is in daycare and then assist with picking her up from daycare, bringing her home, helping around the busy dinner, bath and bedtime routine.

House manager duties include:

• Grocery shopping
• Meal planning and cooking family dinners daily
• Family laundry, folding and putting it away
• Tidying the kitchen, emptying and loading the dishwasher
• Take out garbages, recycling, diaper bins
• Tidying and organizing living areas, play rooms and the baby’s room
• Keeping a list of household items needed (diapers, wipes, toilet paper, soap etc) and stocking them as needed
• Keeping the floors clean
• Running errands as needed

If the nanny/house manager would like more hours and is comfortable, additional cleaning duties can be added such as cleaning bathrooms, floors, ironing, changing bedsheets and making beds etc.

Ideally the family would love to find someone who can occasionally offer extra support (when the nanny is available) on Saturday mornings or longer days when their daughter is home from daycare or the parents are travelling.

We would love to find someone who can work with the family long term as they grow.

Location: Boor and Dufferin

Child's age: 18 months old

Start Date: As soon as the right fit is found

Contract length: 1 year to start

Schedule: Monday to Friday 1:30-7:30pm (flexible for the right fit)

Hourly Rate: $25-30/hour gross

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and responsible care for child in a safe and nurturing environment.
• Engage child in age-appropriate activities, such as imaginary play, games, crafts, and educational play.
• Prepare and serve meals and snacks for child, ensuring they receive proper nutrition.
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks related to the child's care, such as, laundry, tidying up after meals, loading and unloading the dishwasher and cleaning up play areas, bedroom etc.
• Conduct the child’s daily schedule include nap routines
• Provide house manager and housekeeping duties above
• Maintain open and clear communication with parents regarding the child's daily activities, progress, and any concerns that may arise.

Requirements/Qualifications

• 5+ years of Nanny experience in a private home
• 3+ years of experience working as a house manager/house keeper
• 5+ years of experience working with children
• Ability to provide a safe and secure environment for children.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with both children and parents
• Strong organizational skills to manage daily routines and schedules.
• Patience, creativity, and a positive attitude when engaging with children.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
• Cooking skills to prepare meals for the family
• Drivers licence required
• First Aid/CPR required or willing to renew
• Police clearance required or willing to renew
• 3 Childcare/Nanny references required
