The person who fills the role of Human Resources –Assistant represents the company's best interests when recruiting skilled employees to work in an exciting and complex environment for a company which delivers premium products to a global market. We are looking for someone with recruitment skills who does not give up until a position is filled by a suitable candidate. This is a role with a perspective to further growth within our company.
Day-to-Day Activity:
- Assists new-hires in their onboarding, by working with the individual and their manager to ensure the new hire attends all required training
- Provides information to employees, potential employees on benefits, life insurance, leave, pension and Leave of Absence
- Receives, assists, directs employees or visitors as required
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of sign-on and termination documents
- Maintain accurate employee files and the HR filing system (electronic and paper) in accordance with legal requirements and company policies, assist employees with their general HR inquiries and prepare employment verification letters
- Data entry into our HCMS system, including the compilation of reports.
- Assists in informing employees of human resource policies and programs as needed
- Assist the executive team with their recruitment and hiring activities.
- Assist with clerical tasks & administrative duties
- Other job duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education, preferably in a human resources, administrative, or business-related field
- 2 years of experience in a human resources environment or related field preferred
- Solid networking skills and the ability to think outside the box
- Strong ability to conduct interviews, both in-person and virtual
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, experience working effectively in a team environment
- You demonstrate tact, diplomacy, trust, and discretion handling sensitive and confidential information
- Detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
