Our client has an over 40-year history of creating wildly successful products that are sold across North America and beyond. They have values that promote teamwork, trust, and sincerity. The company has over 2000 employees working in several countries and is continuing to grow! Multiple entities, diversified operations, very complex and interesting business.
What- the Role:
Due to continued business growth and new product launches, our client is in need of a great new resource on their Human Resources team. The new Human Resources Business Partner will be responsible for supporting corporate employees working in the Vancouver head-office which consists of 200+ people working in 5+ corporate departments. The HRBP will manage and mentor an HR Coordinator, will report into the VP HR, and will leverage internal HR shared services. 
This is a very well-rounded role involving employee relations, employee engagement, performance management & talent reviews, succession planning, organizational development, hiring forecasting, policy creation and roll-out, etc. The HRBP will partner closely with peers in centres of excellence such as talent acquisition, total rewards, learning & development, and HR systems.

Who- the Candidate:  
We are looking for a well-rounded HR professional with at least 8 years’ relevant and progressive HR work experience.
  • Deep expertise in BC employment law  
  • Relevant post-secondary education. CPHR preferred, not required.
  • Self-motivated and creative with a sense of urgency and a team player approach.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and complex business- perhaps in a sector such as technology, retail, or manufacturing.
  • Experience working for a large company- at least 500 employees and preferably 1000 to 2000 employees.
  • Experience working for a company with multinational operations is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience Business Partnering within an HR shared services / centres of excellent model is an asset.
  • Qualified candidates for this role will be both hands-on and strategic, and able to keep an eye on the details while keeping in mind the big picture.
  • Excellent communication skills and relationship building abilities are crucial in this role. The HRBP will occasionally lead seminars and give presentations to employees and leaders.
How Much:
This company provides a very generous total compensation package including a performance-based bonus, an RRSP match, a deferred profit-sharing program, and a customizable health benefits plan.
The base salary will be commensurate with experience- for now the range is likely $90,000 to $115,000, with the top end reserved for candidates with a very relevant 8 to 10 years of experience. If you are more senior than this (10+ years robust HR experience) and seeking over $115,000 base salary, please still apply as there is a small possibility of this role being upgraded.
Where:
Based in the company’s beautiful Vancouver head office- accessible by car, bike, walking, bus, and SkyTrain. After training and onboarding, the HRBP can choose to work from home a couple days a week.
