We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team. Within Human Resources/Payroll, you will play a crucial role in supporting the HR department by managing various HR functions and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Duties:
- Assist with talent acquisition efforts, including posting job openings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and coordinating the onboarding process
- Collect and maintain employee data, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Perform data entry tasks to update employee records, such as personal information, benefits enrollment, and performance evaluations
- Provide support in employee relations matters, including investigating complaints, conducting disciplinary actions, and assisting with conflict resolution
- Assist with HR projects, such as policy development, performance management initiatives, and employee engagement programs
- Collaborate with payroll department to ensure accurate processing of employee timecards and resolve any payroll-related issues
- Conduct research on HR best practices and industry trends to recommend process improvements
Preferred Requirements:
- Proven experience working within HR or similar role
- Strong knowledge and proficiency in data collection and analysis
- Familiarity with ADP or other timekeeping systems is preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Familiar with the use of Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and MakeShift scheduling considered an asset
- Criminal Record Check; including Vulnerable Sector (within the last 3 months)
- Good computer skills
- Minimum 1 year driving experience with a Class 5 license, copy of driver's abstract, and proof of insurance for 2 million liability also required.
