Infant Development Consultant (1 Year Term)

This role will assist families/caregivers to support the development of their children (birth to 3 years old) by implementing play based strategies in their homes.

YOUR IMPACT:

• Ability and experience working with children ages 0-3 with developmental disabilities and families in their home.
• Able to build effective working relationships with other professionals, family members, and organizations to ensure services are in the families and child's best interest and are supportive of their goals.
• Knowledge and experience working in a family centered service delivery model.
• Experience in administering standardized assessments and developing service plans and;
• Promotes a sense of belonging and inclusion for families /caregivers that have children that require extra support.

YOUR CAPABILITIES:

• Relevant university degree or college diploma in child development or related field and at least 3 years’ experience supporting families and children with developmental disabilities in a similar environment.
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
• Clear, current Criminal Records Check.
• Valid BC Driver’s License and access to a vehicle.
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion.
• Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to interact at all levels of an organization.
• Reliable problem solving, critical thinking and communication skills.

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Salary: $68,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
