As a Contractor Sales Representative reporting to the Contractor Sales Manager, your primary responsibility is to drive sales growth, maintain and expand your book of business, and provide exceptional service to customers. This role involves engaging in walk-in sales, actively promoting new products through calls and emails, participating in sales meetings, and consistently working towards achieving sales goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Growth:
- Engage in walk-in sales to promote products and services to contractors and customers.
- Actively prospect new business opportunities in various strategic markets to expand the customer base.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve personal and company sales growth targets.
- Account Management:
- Maintain and grow existing accounts within your book of business.
- Build strong relationships with contractors through regular communication and engagement.
- Provide personalized service to meet the unique needs of each customer.
- Promotion of New Products:
- Conduct weekly calls and emails to promote new products, services, and promotions.
- Stay informed about industry trends and product developments to effectively communicate their benefits to customers.
- Collaborate with the sales team and vendors to coordinate product launches and promotions.
- Sales Meetings:
- Participate in regular sales meetings with the sales team to discuss strategies, share insights, and provide updates.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and implement effective sales tactics.
- Strive to achieve individual and team sales goals.
- Exceptional Customer Service:
- Provide exceptional 5 star service to all customers, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Work closely with customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate products.
- Resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction to build long-term relationships.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and relevant information.
- Prepare reports on sales performance, goals, and projections for review by the Contractor Sales Manager.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in contractor sales or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to conduct effective sales presentations and negotiations.
- Results-oriented with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Knowledge of construction and building materials is advantageous.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
