Livingstone Range School Division
The Livingstone Range School Division requires a full-time continuous 40.0 hours per week Journeyperson Electrician. Under the direction of the Coordinator of Facilities, the successful candidate will perform electrical systems maintenance and repairs, preventative maintenance on school buildings and equipment, organizes and assigns work to contractors and performs work on projects in all departments.
Electrician Requirements:
Strong understanding of electrical systems, equipment, and components
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to details and commitment to safety
Knowledgeable in infrared testing and electrical panels
Arc flash awareness
Must have excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Valid electrician license or certification
WHMIS
Minimum Class 5 Driver License
Must provide a current and clear police check
A clean driver abstract
Intermediate Computer Skills
Able to respond to emergency after hours
Provide support and direction to other departments
Electrician Responsibilities:
Conduct routine inspection and test on electrical systems and fire alarm systems
Diagnose and resolve electrical malfunctions, security or security cameras
Perform general electrical maintenance, structure cabling, and troubleshooting electrical issues using appropriate testing devices
Performing circuit breaker corrective maintenance
Reading technical diagrams and blueprints, repairing and replacing equipment, electrical wiring, and fixtures.
Maintaining good knowledge of HVAC, boilers and Building Maintenance System as well as various testing equipment
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
Keep accurate and up-to-date maintenance and repair records
