Journeyperson Electrician / Apprentice Electrician

Building Automation Systems is seeking Apprentices and Journeypersons to support new projects, service oriented construction and maintenance divisions. Promote and maintain company policies and maintain safe working environments for all. We are building members of a team for long term employment. BAS is a small/medium sized business that develops and expects employees to grow into leadership roles within the company. We need strong installation experts who can commit to the fast paced commercial demands of today's construction industry, while prioritizing safety and quality. We are also encouraging people with no experience who may be interested in a career in the trades to apply and submit resumes for review.

Please note wages shown is for Journeyperson, apprentice wages will follow standards for percentages of those wages .

Successful candidates must have,

• Skills in a variety of electrical installations.
• Strong problem management & trouble shooting skills.
• Excellent communication skills, initiative and confidence.
• A team attitude, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License.
• Available to work in Calgary and surrounding areas.
• Follow CEC Code.
• Able to manage multiple projects at the same time.
• Ability to train and coach apprentices

Requirements

• Lift Operating Certificate (Scissor/Boom)
• CSTS (must be current)
• Fall Arrest Certificate
• WHMIS Certificate
• Commercial experience required
• Previous controls experience preferred but not required
• Certified and qualified Red Seal Journeyperson credentials (For J-persons only)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $38.00-$42.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 44 per week

Experience:

• Electrical: 1 year (preferred)

• Journeyperson Certificate and Red Seal (preferred)
