Velletta Pedersen Christie, a well-established, growing, professional, downtown Victoria law firm is currently accepting applications for a Legal Assistant in our Wills & Estates department. This is a permanent, full-time position with excellent learning opportunities and mentorship that will take your career to the next level.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 1-2 years’ experience in drafting Wills, Power of Attorneys, and Representation Agreements, Estate Administration;
- 1-2 years’ experience with searching and filing documents at BC Online, LTSA, BC Registries & Court Services;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Strong computer skills;
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines;
- Excellent spelling and grammar; excellent communication skills for drafting letters and emails;
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team;
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills;
- 1-2 years’ experience in general solicitor's work an asset.
