The Details

We are looking to add a "jack of all trades" to our Environmental Services Team. Are you a positive person with good work ethics? Do you enjoy working with seniors? If so, consider applying to be part of our amazing team. The current opening we have is full time including every other weekend,

The successful applicant for the Maintenance Assistant position will be a team player and look forward to challenges and thinking outside the box. They will be “handy”, take pride in a job well done and be able to multitask. A valid driver's licence, in good standing, is mandatory.

Some key points about the role:

• The main priority is to support the Environmental Services Manager in keeping our residence and apartment building clean, safe and in tip top condition
• Be willing to learn our buildings' inner workings
• Driving and vehicle maintenance is a part of the role
• Knowledge of pools is an asset but not required
• A bus driving licence is an asset but not required
• A valid driver's licence, in good standing, is mandatory.

Qualifications:

• Valid drivers’ licence; insurable
• Previous maintenance experience
• Ability to speak, read and write English. Must be able to follow oral and written directions
• Ability to do extensive standing, walking, squatting, kneeling and moving of light objects

Salary: $17.50-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 37.5 per week
