The London Food Co-op is hiring a Marketing Coordinator.
This is a full-time position that will be responsible for promoting all aspects of the London Food Co-op to engage the community, support new programming and ensure participation at events. This position is funded for eleven months. Please note the position is funded through the Ontario Jobs Creation Project and there are eligibility requirements (see below). Duties include developing promotional campaigns, maintaining strong public relations, finding and engaging community partners, and assisting the Co-op in attaining its established goal of broadening its community participation.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, personable, and a self-starter with excellent written and verbal skills, navigation abilities with social media, knowledge of traditional marketing and networking products, computer savvy in a variety of applications such as MS Word, Excel, Office and Google Docs, and have an understanding of the co-operative business model and not-for-profit sector.
You will create a marketing plan for us, run surveys to determine which areas of London know about our services, prepare marketing materials, maintain a regular online presence on Facebook and Instagram, attend food-related conferences and workshops, make connections with like-minded businesses, co-operatives and community groups, interface with both old and new customers, spread our marketing products far and wide, and work in a co-operative setting. You will report to the Co-op Managers and work with committees and our governing Board of Directors.

The successful candidate will be required to register with an employment service provider in London.
To be eligible for this position, individuals must:
· Be a resident of London
· Meet the Employment Insurance Act’s definition of an “insured participant”
· Be currently unemployed. Individuals are considered unemployed if they:
o are working less than an average of 20 hours per week, and
o are actively seeking full-time employment.
An individual can only access project funding after a readiness assessment is completed by OJCP. Individuals affected by long-term unemployment or in long-term receipt of social assistance may be especially suited for projects under JCP.

Salary: $36,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
