Medical Clinic Admin- Ottawa P/T

Busy Medical clinic close to Algonquin College in the Nepean community seeks a part time front desk administrator.

***Please do not apply for this position if you have not worked as a front desk admin. in a Medical clinic , or taken a medical office administrator education program and worked in the position.***

Interviews will be in person on site.

Responsibilities include:

-greeting patients upon arrival, checking them in and verifying coverage

-returning calls to patients, booking appointments, arranging specialist appointments and testing and communicating this to patients

-we are fully electronic Accuro EMR so you must be very comfortable with computers and using an EMR system.

-scanning documents into patient charts, copying forms for patients

-billing for uninsured services

-assisting with patient flow and exam room turnover

-assisting our clinical team to clean exam rooms between patients

-some cleaning and sterilizing medical equipment i.e. speculums and surgical tools

-other duties as required.

Software: Familiarity with Accuro software (OR SIMILAR) required

Experience:

• Diploma in medical office assistant/administration is important although equivalent experience is valued.
• Nursing experience is an asset.

Start is immediate for the correct candidate. You must supply at least 3 relevant professional references.

Salary: $19.00 to $22.00 /hour commensurate with relevant customer facing front desk admin. experience.

Schedule: Part Time Day Shift - 2 to 3 shifts per week could lead to full time for the right candidate.

Early Evening / and some Weekend availability (Sat/Sun) is required.
