Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our team. The Medical Office Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support in a Medical Office setting. This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients in a kind, professional manner
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
- Be familiar with use of an electronic medical record, preferrable Accuro experience
- Verify insurance and health card information and assist with billing and coding
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed
- Be willing to undergo more training for other office tasks including injections, assist on certain small office procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
- Previous experience in a medical or dental office setting is highly desirable
- Proficiency in using office software applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
