Medical Receptionist

Westgrove Clinic is located in Spruce Grove, Alberta is seeking an experienced MOA/Receptionist Full-Time position in our fast-paced clinic. This is a maternity leave coverage. We are seeking someone who can work independently, and as a team in a multidisciplinary environment. Must be organized and have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).

Start Date: January 2, ,2024

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Greeting patients upon arrival, completing patient registrations; booking, confirming and re-scheduling appointments as necessary
• Ensuring that all phone calls, emails and other forms of communication, questions and concerns are answered and re-directed as necessary
• Coordinating collection of payments for uninsured services and issue of appropriate receipts for documentation
• Review and process incoming faxes and other documentation related to patient reports and results, referrals, and consultations
• Prioritizing and completing tasks according to urgency
• Other duties as required

Secondary Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Assign patients to Exam rooms
• Assist and prepare exam rooms
• Obtain patient’s vital signs
• Cleaning duties as necessary
• Assist physicians with procedures
• Manage and order clinical supplies
• Manage and reconcile lab specimens
• Other duties as required

Qualifications

• Required successful completion of a Medical Office Assistant program and or certification, with a minimum of 2 years experience
• Knowledge of EMR is an asset (Accuro preferred)
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Developed problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team
• Proven ability to work in a face paced environment
• Effective multi-tasking, time management and organization skills with attention to detail
• Demonstrated commitment to providing focused patient care
• Clear criminal record check

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
